The child-friendly beach has shallow water and a fine sandy seabed, allowing younger guests to paddle, swim and build sandcast­les while the adults enjoy the sunshine and views across the Kattegat. The many walking and cycling routes make it easy to explore the beautiful, rolling co­un­trysi­de together, and the coastline also provides excellent op­portu­ni­ties for fishing. Should the fish not be biting, you can always buy freshly caught fish from one of the local suppliers.

In Fjellerup, children can look forward to enormous ice cream cones from the popular ice cream shop by the beach, catching crabs and exploring the harbour area, where you can also find places to eat. For those with extra energy, a day at Djurs Som­mer­land is highly recom­men­ded. The amusement park is only around 15 minutes away by car. Scan­di­navi­an Wildlife Park and the Kat­te­gat­cen­tret aquarium in Grenaa are also excellent desti­na­tions for the whole family.

Adults can explore the rich history and culture of the area. Visit Meilgaard Manor and enjoy a meal at Slotskro­en, or discover the recon­structed cult house and the passage grave at Tustrup.
