The beach is ideal for families with its shallow waters and fine sandy bottom – perfect for swimming, sandcast­le building and lazy days in the sun. The sur­ro­un­ding nature is won­der­ful­ly diverse, with countless trails cris­scros­sing the landscape – ideal for scenic hikes and bike rides through the rolling terrain.

Anglers will find excellent fishing spots here, and if luck isn’t on your side, you can always buy fresh catch from the locals. Down by the harbour, cosy re­stau­rants and a much-loved ice cream shop await – a must on any sunny day.

Among the local hig­hlights is the historic Meilgård Manor, where you can also enjoy a delicious meal at the estate’s charming inn. The ancient stone chambers at Tustrup and the striking dolmens nearby are well worth a visit too. And if you're tra­vel­ling with children, Djurs Som­mer­land amusement park is always a winner – just 15 minutes away. Within half an hour’s drive, you'll also find popular at­tra­ctions like the Scan­di­navi­an Wildlife Park and the fa­sci­nat­ing Kattegat Centre in Grenaa – and don’t forget to explore the many treasures of southern Djursland as well.
