This charming holiday home feels a little like visiting grandma. The cosy at­mosp­he­re, which almost seems to live within the walls, gives you the sense that time slows down here. And there is no internet or TV to disturb the peace.

You are welcomed by fine striped wallpaper, colourful curtains and charming older furniture in every imag­i­nab­le shade. Together, it creates a warm and personal at­mosp­he­re where each room tells its own little story. In the living room, the classic wood-burning stove from Morsø crackles on cooler evenings, spreading warmth while con­ver­sa­tions flow.

The cosy con­ser­va­tory is one of the home’s truly special spots. Here, the reed carpet lies beneath your feet, daylight streams through the windows, and it becomes almost im­pos­sib­le not to relax. It is the perfect place for a quiet morning with coffee, a good book, or long summer evenings re­flecting on the day’s ex­pe­ri­en­ces.

The kitchen is newer and arranged so it is easy to prepare freshly caught fish, summer salads or a quick lunch between trips to the beach and local excur­sions. The bathroom is spacious and practical, leaving plenty of room for the small routines of holiday life.

The house itself has two bedrooms – one with a double bed and one with a single bed – both decorated in the same nostalgic style as the rest of the home. In addition, you will find a double bed in the annex, which is best suited for the warm summer months.

This is a holiday home filled with per­so­na­li­ty, colours and holiday spirit – a place where memories are created, laughter comes easily and both children and adults quickly feel at home in the cosy sur­ro­un­dings. Here, a holiday is not about having the newest things, but about feeling com­fortab­le.

Here you will find a lovely lawn with space for play and several cosy terraces where you can enjoy the sun from morning until evening – whether the day begins with coffee in the morning sun or ends with a barbecue and good con­ver­sa­tions in the warm evening air.

In front of the annex there is a par­ti­cu­lar­ly lovely covered terrace. Here you can sit sheltered and enjoy the summer, even when the evening dew settles or a light summer shower passes by.

Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions

In the calm and family-friendly holiday home area by Grenaa Beach you will find one of Jutland’s best bathing beaches. With its soft sand, shallow water and idyllic at­mosp­he­re, it is the perfect place for a day by the sea. The beach has Blue Flag status, which means there are toilets as well as whe­el­chair access.

The lively marina nearby buzzes with activity during summer and offers both re­stau­rants and small shops. Here you will also find the Kattegat Centre, where you can meet penguins, sharks and many other fa­sci­nat­ing fish and sea creatures.

A short distance from the house lies the centre of Grenaa, with pe­de­stri­an streets filled with shops and cosy cafés where you can browse for in­te­r­e­sting finds or enjoy a re­fres­hing break. Museum Østjylland offers insight into the history of the local area.

For those who enjoy outdoor ad­ven­tu­res, Grenaa Beach is sur­ro­un­ded by forests and heathland that are perfect for cycling and hiking. Djurs Som­mer­land is only about a half-hour drive away and is a true paradise for both children and adults. Across the rest of Djursland you will also find many other exciting ex­pe­ri­en­ces waiting to be di­scove­red.
