Welcome inside

A simple, traditional wooden holiday home from 1969, lovingly updated over the years with features such as a newer kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen is openly connected to the dining area and living room, where you’ll find a wood-burning stove and access to the covered terrace and garden. The house offers three bedrooms – one with a double bed (140x200), one with a single bed (120x200), and a cosy bunk room for children. The furniture is older, creating a relaxed and authentic atmosphere for families who prefer a down-to-earth holiday rather than a stylish, modern setting. The annex is not included in the rental.

Enjoy life outside

The garden is truly lovely – spacious and perfect for children and dogs to play freely. It’s not unusual to see squirrels darting across the lawn or jumping in the trees, keeping a curious eye on what’s happening on the covered terrace. If you’re in the mood for a swim, Fjellerup Beach is just under 500 metres away and is very child-friendly. Parking is available right by the house.

Get up close to the local attractions

Fjellerup Beach is an old fishing village situated in an attractive holiday area on the North Djursland coast. The beach is shallow, sandy and child-friendly, and proudly carries the Blue Flag. The surrounding nature is wonderfully varied with forests, dunes, fields and many small paths and roads ideal for hiking and cycling. Spring brings golden rapeseed fields and bright green beech forests. Along the coast, you’ll find excellent fishing opportunities. Nearby attractions include Mejlgård Castle, the stone dolmens at Tustrup, and the agricultural museum Gl. Estrup.

From the house, it’s about a 15-minute drive to Djurs Sommerland – the largest amusement park in Scandinavia – and about half an hour to the charming market town of Grenaa, where you can visit sharks and other sea creatures at the Kattegat Centre. If you’re up for an hour’s drive, you can explore the southern part of Djursland with Ebeltoft and Mols Bjerge, or visit Aarhus, the capital of Jutland.
