Holiday Home Hemsjö – Idyllic sur­ro­un­dings with a private beach and bathing jetty

Area
South of the small village of Hemsjö, not far from the river Mörrum, this holiday home is situated on an almost 2,000 m² plot directly by Lake Hemsjön, with its own private jetty and bathing pier. Shopping fa­ci­li­ties can be found in Svängsta, approx. 10 km from the house, and in Olofström, approx. 14 km away. It is only 23 km to Karlshamn, which offers good in­fra­struc­tu­re and is a hi­sto­ri­cal­ly famous harbour town, from where many Swedes emigrated to America in the 18th century.

Interior
This two-storey holiday home, with a living area of approx. 110 m², was built in 1913 and has been thor­oug­hly renovated and mo­der­ni­sed by the Danish owners in recent years, and lovingly furnished down to the smallest detail. A bright and welcoming entrance area leads into the large kitchen-living room, which features a modern kitchen, a cosy seating area, and a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove with induction hob and oven, microwave, extractor hood, dis­hwas­her, kettle, French press coffee maker, and a large fridge-freezer.
Adjacent to the kitchen-living area is a beautiful dining room with a round dining table offering a wonderful view of the lake. There is also a spacious, modern bathroom with sink, toilet, shower, and un­der­floor heating. The house can be heated using an air heat pump, electric radiators, and the wood-burning stove; firewood is included in the rental price. Thanks to the com­bi­na­tion of heating sources, the well-insulated house can also be used during the winter months.
On the upper floor, there is a double bed located by the staircase, a TV with Swedish channels and a DVD player, as well as a separate bedroom with two single beds.
In the 30 m² annex next to the main house, there is an ad­di­tio­nal bedroom with two single beds and a loft with a mattress. This space can also be used during colder months, as a wood-burning stove and electric heater provide cosy warmth. There is also a toilet with WC, sink, washing machine, and tumble dryer, ac­ces­sib­le from the outside. Next to the toilet entrance, there is an outdoor shower with hot water, which is a special highlight in the summer months.
A small sandy area has been created by the lake, suitable as a sandpit for small children, and there are also a swing and other play equipment. The property offers five terraces (stone and wooden), partly furnished with garden furniture and parasols. There are two sun loungers, two fire pits, a charcoal grill, and in the summer months a rowing boat, a canoe, and life jackets in various sizes. The house also has high-speed fibre internet.

Special in­for­ma­tion
A wonderful holiday home on a lakeside plot with its own jetty and bathing pier. Arrival is possible on all days, with a minimum booking of four days. One dog is allowed. Smoking is not permitted inside the house, and charging electric cars at the property is not allowed. Bed linen and two towels can be rented for DKK 120 per person, or guests may bring their own. Final cleaning can be added for DKK 1,440 if not carried out by the guests them­sel­ves. Ad­di­tio­nal services can only be booked in con­nection with the re­ser­va­tion. A security deposit is required and will be refunded after in­spection and approval of the property without any com­plaints. No fishing licence is required for fishing in Lake Hemsjön.
