The house is located close to free public buses and Ærø’s very own brewery. It is also par­ti­cu­lar­ly well suited for anglers and wedding parties.

On the ground floor, you will find the home’s lovely living area, where the kitchen, dining area and living room blend together into one inviting open-plan space. This is where holiday life can unfold naturally – enjoy your morning coffee at the dining table, prepare meals together in the wonderful kitchen, which has eve­ryt­hing you could wish for, and relax in the super-cosy living room. The ground floor also features a large, lovely bathroom as well as a guest toilet, com­ple­ting the practical and com­fortab­le sur­ro­un­dings.Upstairs, you will find the home’s three bedrooms, where you can retreat after a day filled with island life, fresh sea air and local ex­pe­ri­en­ces.Please note that the house generally has a low ceiling height of ap­proxi­ma­te­ly 175 cm.

Enjoy life outdoors

Outside, a small, well-kept oasis awaits, where you can truly enjoy the Danish summer. The house is situated on a smaller plot with a terrace and enclosed lawn – perfect for peaceful mornings with breakfast outdoors, a good book in the sunshine or relaxing af­ter­noons when the children can play freely on the lawn and your pets can roam around safely.As evening falls, gather on the terrace around the barbecue and prepare delicious meals under the open sky. This is the perfect setting for those little holiday moments that often become the greatest memories: the smell of a barbecue, bare feet in the grass and the whole family together in peaceful sur­ro­un­dings.

The garden is easy to enjoy, ma­na­geab­le and secure – a little haven where both children and adults can relax and simply be present during their holiday.

The holiday home is located in Store Rise, almost halfway between Ærøskøbing and Marstal. Here, you can stay in peaceful and scenic sur­ro­un­dings, close to eve­ryt­hing Ærø is known and loved for: open landsca­pes, a unique island at­mosp­he­re and short distances to charming towns, harbour en­viron­ments and local ex­pe­ri­en­ces.

Ærøskøbing, popularly known as “The Fairytale Town”, is one of Denmark’s most beautiful and at­mosp­he­ric market towns. Explore its colourful, beau­ti­ful­ly preserved houses, cobbled streets, cosy cafés, re­stau­rants and in­te­r­e­sting shops. The town is full of life, history and romance – and it is not unusual to see newlyweds dressed in their finest clothes strolling through the charming streets. From Ærøskøbing, the twin ferries MF Marstal and MF Ærøskøbing sail almost every hour to Svendborg.

Marstal is Ærø’s largest town and has a proud maritime history that can still be felt eve­rywhe­re. Take a walk through the town or along the harbour and you will quickly sense the im­portan­ce of seafaring – from the old skipper’s houses to the lively harbour en­viron­ment. Visit Marstal Maritime Museum, explore Kirkestræde and Kon­gens­ga­de with their shops, cafés and re­stau­rants, or ex­pe­ri­en­ce the town’s local events, which bring the town to life throug­hout the year.

In many ways, Ærø is a little micro-universe of its own.
