Tårup Strand is a summer land area on the eastern coast of Funen, sur­ro­un­ded by a hillscape and over­look­ing the clear water of the Great Belt. Here you can take walks along the coast, enjoy the views and the fresh sea air and – if you are lucky – spot ships om their journey through the Great Belt. You will see that the beach in the area changes character the further up the coast you go. The first part of the beach consists of a stone bed and it has a bathing jetty while 1 km further up the coast, you are met by a fine sandy beach offering the op­portu­ni­ty to play in the water and sunbathe. Take a long swim in the blue sea or laze in the sun all day long. The choice is yours.

Kjul Strand is the perfect holiday desti­na­tion for re­laxa­tion and water sports acti­vi­ties. You can laze all day long on the wide sandy beaches or jump in the blue sea and try your hand on windsur­fing. The beaches in the area have been awarded the Blue Flag cer­ti­fi­ca­tion. Sur­ro­un­ding the beach, you will find a number of small winding trails for you to explore dune landscape and woodlands. Kjul is a quiet little village where you can leave the hectic everyday life behind you for a while. The town is near Hirtshals where you can visit Hirtshals Ligh­t­hou­se, Nordsøen Oce­a­na­ri­um or just enjoy dinner over­look­ing the harbour.
