Borgnæs is a popular summer land area on Ærø. Here you are sur­ro­un­ded by luxuriant nature and specta­cu­lar scenery. From Borgnæs, you have access to the Ar­chipela­go Trail, one of the longest hiking trails in Denmark, taking you across the Ar­chipela­go. Put on your walking shoes and explore the fa­sci­nat­ing nature. You can also jump in the blue sea as Borgnæs gives you access to the finest beaches on Ærø. For one thing, Borgnæs Strand is known to be a par­ti­cu­lar­ly child-friendly beach with its fine sand and clear, shallow water. Around Borgnæs, you will find a number of small villages with old Ærø-style houses and historic sites that bear witness to the history of Ærø.

Situated next to the narrow sound between Westim­mer­land and Salling, Hvalpsund offers a wonderful maritime at­mosp­he­re and many excellent ex­pe­ri­en­ces. As a sum­mer­ti­me at­tra­ction with its beach and acti­vi­ties by the fjord, the town is a favourite desti­na­tion for any beach lover. Situated on the Louns Peninsula, Hvalpsund is a haven for nature lovers. The area is rich in excellent cycling and hiking routes and is worth a visit for all holiday home guests for whom re­laxa­tion and tranqui­li­ty are a priority.

Just 15 km from Grenaa is the holiday area, Gjerrild Nord­s­trand. The beach has been awarded Blue Flag-cer­ti­fi­ca­tion, and for good reason. Here you can enjoy the clear waters, fine sand and calm sur­ro­un­dings. Perfect for splashing, relaxing and playing. The area is close to the town of Gjerrild and the natural pheno­menon of Gjerrild Klint, which is a 35 metre high lime cliff. From here you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the im­pres­si­ve views and, if you are into angling, you can try your luck with a fishing rod. In this area you will find several paths and trails that connect Gjerrild and Bønnerup. Put on your hiking shoes and explore nature.
