Die “hyggelige” Dänen – the story behind it
The foundations of Die “hyggelige” Dänen were laid back in 1984 by the couple Steen and Karin Hansen, driven by a deep love for the area. Many years have passed, and in 2026 the baton was handed over to Feriepartner Denmark chain under the name Die “hyggelige” Dänen - Feriepartner Vejers Strand. Although we are no longer under the wings of the Hansen family, we remain the same locally rooted holiday home rental agency in Vejers Strand – just as you know it.
Whether you are a holiday homeowner, a guest, or a local resident passing by the smiling Viking – our mascot – and stepping into the office on Vejers Havvej, we hope you immediately sense our love, dedication, and care for the area. Our core values trace all the way back to 1984, when it all began, and our mission and ambition have always been clear: we strive to go above and beyond to create the best possible holiday experiences for you. Every day, we make a dedicated effort to care for and actively contribute to the development of the Vejers Strand area.

Many of us live in the area ourselves, and some of us have even grown up in these beautiful surroundings. That is why Vejers Strand means something truly special to us, and we are incredibly proud to be part of such a wonderful local community and holiday destination on the West Coast.

And it means a lot to us that, holiday after holiday, year after year, we can guide you and our other guests to all the wonderful experiences that Vejers Strand has to offer. If you ask us, Vejers Strand is without a doubt one of the most beautiful areas in Denmark.
At Die “hyggelige” Dänen, we have been actively engaged in the local community since the very beginning, contributing to nature, culture and the development of the area. That is why we might be a little bold when we say that we are not just a holiday home rental company, but also Vesterled (the local smokehouse), Batard (the local bakery), the playground in the town centre, Meer (a local clothing shop) and, of course, Vejers Vikinge Minigolf.
We are very proud that 62% of our guests return to us each year to book their holiday home stay. While we see this as a sign of high satisfaction with our service, we also believe it shows that our guests love Vejers Strand just as much as we do. There is no doubt that Vejers Strand is a popular holiday destination with many opportunities, and that is why we do everything we can to take good care of it.
