Arrival and departure

Accepted Answer

In the lease, it is indicated where on the house you will find the key box, where the key to the house is locked. The code for the key box will first be available in "Mit Feriepartner" 7 days before your arrival. For security reasons, it will not be visible until then.
However, you will also receive the code in the welcome SMS that is sent on the day of arrival, when the house is ready for moving in - no later than 15.
In this SMS you will also find a blue link for registering the electricity meter's figure on arrival. Here you enter the number upon arrival. On the day of departure, you will again receive an SMS with both the code and a new link to register the electricity meter's figure upon departure.
The key box must not be left open, but must be kept closed (when not in use) for protection against dirt and rain.

Question 2

Barbecue

Accepted Answer

Only in holiday homes marked “Allergy friendly” will you be completely assured that there has never been pets in the holiday home. Even if the description of the house states that pets are not allowed, a house-owner or their guests may previously have had pets in the holiday home. Feriepartner’s staff bear no responsibility for allergic reactions to house dust. We strongly recommend that people with dust allergies should choose houses with wooden or tiled floors.

Most holiday homes have a barbecue included in their inventory. Feriepartner assume no responsibility for the quality or condition of this barbecue.

Question 3

Beds/sleeping areas/cupboard space

Bed sizes vary greatly. The width of a double bed varies from approx. 120-180 cm. The length varies from 175-200 cm. The width of single beds varies from 60-85 cm and the length from 175-200 cm. Double beds often consist of one large mattress, but sometimes of two single mattresses. Often there is a protective mattress on top on the grounds of hygiene and appearance. Please lay your own sheet on top of the protective mattress.
Holiday homes generally have quite limited cupboard space. Therefore, you cannot expect to lay/hang all the clothes you have brought in cupboards. Some cupboards are open or with a curtain.

Bicycles

In some holiday homes there are bicycles, which the renter is free to use. But Feriepartner take no responsibility for their quality and standard or any defects.

Bicycle rental

Accepted Answer

You can rent bicycles in the area, and Feriepartner are always available, should you need further information.

Question 6

Complaints

Accepted Answer

Damages and complaints must be immediately reported to Feriepartner at the start of the rental period. If this is not possible upon arrival, you must get in touch no later than 48 hours later. Damages/defects/complaints do not necessarily lead to discount or compensation (p. §6 General Terms and Conditions).

Question 7

Construction noise

Accepted Answer

During your holiday, there may be construction noise in the immediate surroundings. Feriepartner have no way of knowing when and where building or renovation is taking place, and therefore cannot be held responsible.

Question 8

Décor/equipment

Accepted Answer

All holiday homes are privately owned and decorated in accordance with the owner’s taste and requirements. Therefore, Feriepartner bear no responsibility for the renter’s individual expectations. Unless otherwise specified, all holiday homes are equipped with toilet, hot and cold water, hand shower/shower cabin, stove, coffee maker, vacuum cleaner, and radiators. The beds have duvets (in some cases feather duvets), pillows and possibly a mattress topper. There are cutlery and kitchen utensils for the number of persons allowed in the house. Please contact Feriepartner if you have any questions about décor etc. For your holiday, you must bring the following yourself: bedding, towels, tea towels, dishcloths, tablecloth, and toiletries.
The holiday home is not always equipped with cleaning agents. The renter is thus requested to bring cleaning agents.

Question 9

Deposit / consumption

Accepted Answer

A deposit is required with each rental agreement and is paid with the 2nd instalment. After departure the holiday home is checked. Utility expenses will be offset against the deposit and the balance refunded within 14 days after departure, into the account you have stipulated.

Driving directions

Accepted Answer

All destinations and directions can be generated on Google Map or similar services. If you cannot find the destination, please contact Feriepartner.

Question 11

Electric car charging

Accepted Answer

In the house description on our website under Facilities, it will appear whether charging an electric car (also applies to hybrids) at the rented holiday home is allowed or not. If charging of an electric car is permitted, it is stated under Facilities which type of charge is made available and thus permitted.
If the renter acts in breach of the house description by charging his electric car where it is not permitted, the renter is directly liable to Feriepartner and the owner of the holiday home, for the damage and loss that the improper charging may cause.

Electricity

220 Volts in all holiday homes.

Question 13

Energy consumption

Accepted Answer

Feriepartner recommend that you keep an eye on your energy consumption during your stay.

Question 14

Final cleaning

Accepted Answer

The final cleaning is included, you do not have to spend the last hours of your holiday cleaning. The holiday home however, has to be tidy, and the dishwasher, fridge and waste bin emptied.

Question 15

Firewood

Accepted Answer

Firewood is not included in the rental price, but you can buy firewood in supermarkets etc. If there is any firewood at the holiday home, this is the owner’s private property, and may only be used/purchased, if permission has been granted. In this case, the payment is made directly to the owner and left in the house on departure. It is forbidden to gather firewood in the forest or on the beach, as it may contain salt, which can damage the stove. If there are high winds or storms, it may be that the wood burning stove/fireplace cannot be used, because the wind pressures the smoke back down the chimney.

Fishing licence

You can buy a fishing licence for inshore fishing on www.fisketegn.dk

Question 17

Garbage

Accepted Answer

There is a waste container by the holiday home. The emptying interval may vary from area to area. You cannot therefore expect an empty container on arrival. All waste must be sorted and disposed of according to the specified regulations. If the holiday home is left with an overflowing waste container or unsorted waste, Feriepartner reserves the right to charge a fee for disposal of the waste.

Question 18

Garden furniture

All holiday homes have garden furniture for your use, i.e. table and chairs. Parasols, sun loungers and cushions are excluded from this category, and so you cannot expect them to be available in the house.

Question 19

Guests

Accepted Answer

It is important to point out that you must never accommodate more people in the holiday home than the number specified in the house’s description. Nor is it allowed to pitch tents, or park caravans or camping vans on the holiday home’s plot.

Health insurance

You are recommended to bring your health insurance details when you go on holiday.

Question 21

Highchair, cot, and pushchair

Accepted Answer

Cots, highchairs and dog beds can be borrowed free of charge on self-collection and return at Feriepartner in Hvide Sande

Question 22

Hot tub

Accepted Answer

Hygiene in a hot tub is very important. Feriepartner makes sure that between all rental periods the hot tub is thoroughly cleaned to reduce bacteria. If you use the hot tub, you must put one chlorine tablet per person in the water. All holiday homes with hot tubs supply chlorine tablets. Only switch on the hot tub when the water is 10 cm above the nozzles.

Question 24

Land

Accepted Answer

Feriepartner descriptions frequently include the expression “natural land.” This refers to heather moors, tall grass, uneven ground, wild heath etc. This “natural land” has been left to nature, so you cannot count on being able to use the entire area. Nor can you expect the grass to be cut, so that, for example, children can play ball. It is not allowed to park a caravan or pitch a tent on the land. Please also read the point: “Guests”.

Question 25

Linen

Accepted Answer

A linen package contains: Bed linen, small and large towel, and dishtowel. Linen packages are delivered to the cottage. You can order linen packages in the office, by phone or email. On departure, linen is packed in the same bags so that Feriepartner can easily and quickly collect them again.
ATTENTION In the case of linen packages delivered in reusable fabric bags, the fabric bags must be returned together with the other used linen upon departure.

Question 26

Lost property

Accepted Answer

Feriepartner will hold on to lost property for up to three months after the end of a stay. Any articles will be sent by mail at the renter’s expense.

Question 27

Military exercises

Accepted Answer

In certain areas of Denmark military exercises occasionally take place. As far as possible, such activities take place outside holiday periods. You can obtain further information from Feriepartner. Sometimes the exercises are planned at the last minute, so it is impossible to provide accurate information.

Question 28

Payment

Accepted Answer

The 1st instalment is a prepayment of 25% of the overall rental price. The balance and the deposit must be paid no later than 70 days before the start of the rental period. If booking less than 70 days before the start of the rental period, the full rent must be paid immediately. Together with the rental agreement all guests receive bank details, including IBAN number and SWIFT code for transferring the stated amount. All guests can pay by credit card on the Feriepartner website.

Question 29

Pets

Accepted Answer

Pets are welcome in many Feriepartner holiday homes, but make sure you first read the description of the house before you book your stay. In holiday homes where pets are allowed, the pet may only move around on the grounds of the holiday home. Pets do not have to be on a leash on the holiday home grounds. All other places, including on public roads, the pet is required to be on a leash unless otherwise is provided by public regulations. If you bring pets, it is not allowed under any circumstances to leave the pet alone in the holiday home, just as pets may never stay in the house's furniture, beds, etc. In addition, we ask you to make sure to clean up after your pet in and around the holiday home, including removing animal hair inside and feces outside so that there are no unpleasant surprises for the next guests arriving to the holiday home.
If it can be established that in violation of a particular holiday home description that pets have been brought to the holiday home, or if it can be established that more than the permitted number of pets have been brought, the tenant is obliged to pay DKK 5,000 to Feriepartner for non-compliance with the house description, as well as the general rental conditions. The renter is also obliged to pay the amount if it can be ascertained that, pets have stayed in furniture, pool rooms, etc.

Question 30

Renting a holiday home in the winter months

In the period from 1 October to 31 March, the holiday home is heated to a temperature of approx. 15°C for your arrival. In the pool house, the pool will be between 24 and 28°C.

Question 31

Smoking

Accepted Answer

If it is found that there is smoking inside a non-smoking holiday home the renter is obliged to pay DKK 5,000 to Feriepartner, for non- compliance with the holiday home description. Whether smoking is allowed inside a holiday home it will stated in the description for the individual holiday home.

Question 32

Swimming guidelines

Accepted Answer

In some areas on the Danish coastline it can be dangerous to go swimming. So follow these swimming guidelines:
Learn to swim and dive correctly
Never swim alone
Swim only where permitted
Only go out to navel-level
Dive only where the water is deep enough
Swim along the coast
Never swim with alcohol or narcotics in your bloodstream
Get out of the water, when you start to feel cold
You can get more information about swimming from your local Feriepartner agency.

Question 33

TV, Satellite TV

Accepted Answer

Many holiday homes have TV and satellite connection. The satellite box has been programmed according to the individual owner’s wishes, and you cannot assume that you will be able to receive all Danish channels. Poor signal or total reception failure may occur (e.g., weather conditions). If any problems occur with the TV/satellite reception etc., there is no guarantee that it can be repaired during weekends or in evenings. In the event of misuse or changes of settings by the renter, Feriepartner reserve the right to charge the renter for repair/new settings. Please make sure you read the instruction manual or call Feriepartner if you are in doubt about how to operate it.

Question 34

Utilities expenses

Accepted Answer

Power and any oil heating meters are read on arrival and departure and entered in ‘Mit Feriepartner’. The link will be sent prior to the start of the tenancy.
Some regions charge a fee for water consumption, whereas in other regions that is included in the rental price. You can see this on your consumption registration.
If you have not made a note of the figures, Feriepartner will estimate consumption.

Question 35

Usage of the holiday home

Accepted Answer

The holiday home may only be used for recreational purposes, and thus not for parties and gatherings without the landlord's prior consent. Feriepartner is obliged and entitled to contact the tenant if there is a reasonable suspicion of a non-recreational purpose for the rental.

Question 36

Vermin/insects

Accepted Answer

Feriepartner draw particular attention to the fact that Danish holiday homes are located in natural areas. Naturally, these natural areas are home to ants, flies and spiders. There is nothing we can do about this. In the event of extreme insect infestation in the holiday home, please contact Feriepartner. We will do our best to help you.

Question 37

Washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers

Accepted Answer

In many holiday homes there are washing machines, tumble dryers and/or dishwashers. If and operating problems occur, there is no guarantee that repairs can be carried out at the weekend or in the evening. In the event of misuse by the renter, Feriepartner reserve the right to charge the renter for any repair. Please make sure you read the instruction manual or call Feriepartner if you are in doubt about how to operate it.

Question 38

Weather conditions

Accepted Answer

Feriepartner is not held responsible if your arrival at or departure from the holiday home/key collection point is made impossible as a result of snowfall, ice or other weather conditions. This also applies to damages, including personal injuries, which may occur from this.

Question 39

Young people in groups of 3 or more

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately, Feriepartner has frequently encountered problems when renting to young people (e.g., damage to equipment or lack of final cleaning). Therefore, it has been necessary to set an age limit of 25 years old for groups of more than 2 people. This does not apply to young people who are on holiday with their parents, or to two young people, who rent a holiday home together.
