A stone’s throw from Denmark’s southernmost point sits Gedesby, which offers authentic village vibes and idyllic scenery. In and around the town you will find beautiful old houses, thatched farmhouses and cosy green landscapes. The church, which dates back to the 1300s, is nestled in the centre of the town surrounded by the quaint main street and beautiful old mill. The area plays an important role in Denmark’s history so there is a lot of local folklore and tales to explore. The nature here is fantastic, with plantations, hiking trails and forests – and not least Gedesby Beach, which stretches as far as the eye can see.
