Description
Charming half-timbered house with thatched roof located in the small village of Ommel only few kilometres away from Marstal, which is Ærø´s largest town. The house is the oldest house in Ommel which was originally built in 1743. It has been renovated continuously, the latest update has been done in 2015 with new bedroom an modernizing of the bathroom. There are visible beams on the ceiling, and the ceiling can be low (1.76 m – 1.83 m). Under the visible beams the height can be even lower. *
The area
The old maritime town Marstal is Ærø´s southernmost town with a maritime atmosphere. In Marstal you find the small built-together houses, paved alleys and many shops and restaurants. Close to the town centre there is the Maritime Museum, a nice beach and idyllic harbor.
