The area
The hilly nature on the Lovns peninsula is very beautiful and varied. The very outer part of the peninsula is a nature reserve and can only be walked to via paths or along the beach. On Lovns you also find the historic manor Hessel which is a farming museum today. Hvalpsund with its maritime atmosphere is only a few kilometers away from Lovns. There is a marina and ferries harbor with restaurants, put & take lake, golf course and boat rental. In Lovns and Hvalpsund there are excellent bathing opportunities.
