The area
The hilly nature on the Louns peninsula is very beautiful and varied. The very outer part of the peninsula is a nature reserve and can only be walked to via paths or along the beach. In Louns you also find the historic manor Hessel which is a farming museum today. Hvalpsund with its maritime atmosphere is only a few kilometers away from Louns. There is a marina and ferries harbor with restaurants, put & take lake, golf course and boat rental. In Louns and Hvalpsund there are excellent bathing opportunities.
