Only 15 km from Drøsselbjerg lies Slagelse, the largest com­merci­al town in West Zealand, offering a wide selection of shops, re­stau­rants, and cafés. Slagelse is also home to one of Denmark’s largest military barracks, and every Wednesday visitors can watch the Royal Life Guards Hussars riding through the town on horseback.

The sur­ro­un­ding area offers many excursion op­portu­ni­ties, including the Viking fortress Trel­le­borg and Kragerup Manor, both of which provide a wide range of acti­vi­ties and ex­pe­ri­en­ces for visitors.
