The area
Bøjden is a small holiday area with a small ferry harbour which can be reached via ferry from Als. At the camping site in Bøjden you can play minigolf and use the indoor swimming-pool against payment. The golf course in Fåborg is not far away from Bøjden. The idyllic harbour town Fåborg is 8 km away from the area with nice shops, cultural sights, restaurants and an indoor swimming-pool. South Funen is known for its very special and hilly nature with Svanninge Bakker, the so-called Funish Alps with a mouuntainbike course, and the beautiful and unique archipelago. Take a day trip to the islands of Lyø, Avernakø or Ærø. The ferry leaves daily from the harbour in Fåborg. Egeskov Castle, which is one of Funen´s largest attractions, is also worth a visit as well as Odense, Funen´s largest town, which is only 30 minutes away by car from the area.
