House-ID: TV1622If you're dreaming of a holiday right in the heart of Skagen in a classic yellow fisherman's cottage, be sure to take a closer look at Ole Svendsens Vej 14. This charming and beautifully maintained holiday home is enclosed by a red wooden fence and a lush green garden. From here, you're just a short walk from both the town centre and the harbour – and only 200 metres from the famous Sønderstrand, where you can enjoy a refreshing morning dip before visiting museums, enjoying lunch at a café, and diving into other cosy holiday experiences.
Welcome inside
This more than 100-year-old house is the kind of place that immediately makes you feel at home. The architecture is classic and full of character, and several thoughtful updates have been made to ensure both comfort and charm. The layout features three bedrooms and three bathrooms, making the house ideal for a couple’s holiday with friends – and of course, it’s also perfect for a family getaway. Dogs are welcome too. There are living spaces on both floors: downstairs you’ll find a spacious kitchen next to a lovely living room with a wood-burning stove, dining table and two sofas. Upstairs is a second living room with a flat-screen TV, comfortable seating, and a door leading out to a balcony.
Enjoy life outside
The balcony on the first floor is a pleasant spot to catch some fresh air and sunshine, but you’ll also love relaxing in the courtyard or on one of the house’s inviting terraces. The outdoor areas are fully enclosed by fencing, giving you and your loved ones a private and peaceful setting for unwinding – and your dog can explore freely and safely. The garden is the perfect place to return to after a day at the beach or in town, whether you want to relax with a glass of iced coffee or enjoy dinner outdoors. If you’re not dining at one of Skagen’s many restaurants, simply fire up the gas grill and prepare a delicious meal under the open sky.
Get up close to the local attractions
From this cosy holiday home, it takes no more than two minutes to reach Skagen Sønderstrand, where you can lay out your beach towel, change into your swimwear, and dive into the crystal-clear waters. If you’re more in the mood for art, shopping, or dining, a stroll through Skagen’s atmospheric streets will lead you past Brøndums Hotel, Skagens Museum, and the pedestrian zone with its charming shops. The town’s vibrant harbour scene is also nearby, and if you’re eager to explore the wild northernmost nature of Denmark, it’s easy to make your way to Grenen.
Remember, you can always borrow wagons, high chairs, and cots from your nearest Feriepartner office. Simply pick them up at the bureau and return them once your holiday has come to an end.
