Holiday house with at­mosp­he­re close to nature area and sea at Sjællands Odde

On the long narrow part of Sjællands Odde – Overby Lyng – there is a beautiful holiday house area with access to a total of two beaches: towards north the Kattegat coast and towards south the Sejerø Bay. Both sides with good bathing and angling po­s­si­bi­li­ties and perfect for other acti­vi­ties on land and at sea. Odden has a lot to offer – from the village Havnebyen with a fis­h­mon­ger and several re­stau­rants, yachting harbour and many cultural acti­vi­ties to the organic and bio-dynamic farm shop Bir­ke­mo­se­gaard.

Welcome inside

Close to the coast by Sejerø Bay you find this small original gem, exuding genuine holiday house charm. The light living room with incident light from the skylights as well as the windows towards the garden invite to cre­a­ti­vi­ty. So if you have a poetic vein or like painting or drawing, this is where you may find your inner artist. In one end of the living room you can light the wood burner and on a cool and maybe windy day you may sit in the sofa reading a book or playing a game of yatzy. From the cosy kitchen you have a view of the garden. This is not luxury but a holiday house with genuine holiday at­mosp­he­re.

Enjoy life outside
The house offers a lovely and sheltered terrace, and in the garden there is also a wooden terrace. The garden has several other spots and cosy corners, where you may sit enjoying a cup of coffee or reading a good book. The big nature plot matches perfectly into the protected nature area by the beach (30 hectares) that you will be passing, when you go to the beach. On the stony foreshore you may find, among others, sea kale, sea beet and sea rocket. In the protected area you also have bloody crane’s bill, asparagus, orpine, nodding pasque flower, yellow cudweed and narrow-leaved thyme.

Get close to the local at­tra­ctions

We at Fe­ri­e­part­ner Odsherred recommend that you spend a day in the amusement park Som­mer­land Sjælland just outside Højby. Here you find over 60 acti­vi­ties, a mini train, the Aqua Land the Blue Lagoon and a special Mini Play Land for the youngest ones, and right next door a fine selection of Stre­et­food. Inside the park you also find fine small copies of cha­ra­cte­ri­stic houses and buildings, Mini Odsherred, as well as sheep, chicken and goats that you may pat plus a lot more.
