There are beautiful hiking areas and good beaches right on your doorstep. Anglers can enjoy great fishing spots on Ordup Næs. The charming Næsskoven forest area invites young and old to spend active hours in the co­un­trysi­de.

It's not uncommon to see hedgehogs, deer and other native wildlife on your large, sloping nature plot. Your property borders an un­de­ve­l­oped area with lawns and the pre­hi­sto­ric burial mound Gadekærshøj, which is perfect for walks. The village pond in the small village of Ordrup is just a short walk or bike ride away, where you will find pubs, a grocery shop and an ice cream parlour. The beach, which offers swimming and fishing op­portu­ni­ties, is also within easy reach.

The Danish artists' colonies in Hornbæk and Skagen, on Funen and on Bornholm were sup­ple­men­ted by Od­s­her­red's artists' colony between 1930 and 1970. To this day, Odsherred has the highest con­cen­tra­tion of artists in Denmark. This is not the only reason why we would like to recommend a visit to the Odsherred Art Museum in Asnæs to you and your loved ones. The museum has a large permanent exhi­bi­tion of works by the famous Odsherred painters. They populated the area around 1930 and aimed to re­vi­ta­li­se na­tu­ra­li­stic painting. They showed a strong com­mit­ment to their art and at the same time founded the artists' or­ga­ni­sa­tion Corner

The di­stin­cti­ve, varied landscape and the very special light of the area have attracted artists for more than 150 years. Landscape paintings therefore also cha­ra­cte­ri­se the col­lection in Od­s­her­red's art museum. You can literally feel the close con­nection between the painting and the sur­ro­un­ding world from which it ori­gi­na­tes. In the exhi­bi­tion, you don't see abstract paintings that are detached from their place of origin. You marvel at paintings that show the landscape outside the door of your holiday home - seen and in­ter­pre­ted by com­ple­te­ly different cha­ra­cters and tem­pe­ra­ments.

The Od­s­her­reds Art Museum has un­der­stan­dably spe­ci­a­li­sed primarily in landscape painting. Its aim is to show the de­ve­l­op­ment of landscape painting from its be­gin­nings through the Golden Age to the present day..
