Indoors
Everywhere you look in this nordic house, you’ll find that it’s decorated tastefully with art and curious finds. There are well though out carpentry details everywhere ex. the old curved staircase with the Bornholm cannonballs and the luxurious bathrooms with marble plaster from floor to ceiling. The materials are natural and genuine everywhere. The upper floor is a large bright living room with a chrome cast TV and a double bed. From here the impressive views to all 4 corners of the world, is very unique -with Hammerknuden, the sea and Sandvig's beautiful half-timbered houses. There is also a new nice bathroom and a small loft. The ground floor is one spacious kitchen-dinin-living- room area. It is high-ceilinged and with high panels and contains a beautiful new kitchen in ash wood, dining area and lounge area with TV and a real day sofa. In the middle of the room there is a comfortable wood-burning stove with glass for 3 sides. From the kitchen there is access to a cozy wooden terrace and to the stone garden with the fruit trees and a hard wood pizza oven. There is access to the lower floor both from the ground floor and the garden. Here is the entrance hall with washer / dryer hidden under the stairs. Large nice new bathroom with bathtub and a big rain shower. Two gorgeous bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The house is completely renovated, insulated and has underfloor heating.
Outdoors
The house offers an absolutely fantastic and distinctive Bornholm granit stone patio. It is landscaped with several sun terraces and living areas. Between the Bornholm cobblestones are heated by the sun, you can enjoy the nights in the spectacular "stone pot", where you can enjoy bbq-dinners undisturbed. In a lovely shed, which originally served as the house's founder stonemason's cabin, and which was once located by the quarry at Hammershus, there is a small utility room with an extra fridge / freezer, hob, electric kettle and cocktail workshop and a small outdoor toilet Under a cover you can enjoy the shade and holiday reading in a hammock or take a bath and after the beach trip .It’s nice to rinse off the beach sand in the outdoor shower, which has both hot and cold water.
Location
On Nordbornholm you find this breathtaking rocky coastline -but here by Sandvig (a cozy and aesthetic fishing village area 1.5 km from its big sister town Allinge) there rocs are mixed with a nice little sandy beach. The location, which is both close to Hammerknuden and at the same time so close to a sandy beach, is completely unique. It is also within walking distance of Hammershus and the many surrounding quarries and lakes and it makes the house perfect for both day trips and / or the active adventure holiday. The summerhouse which is located in the middle of beautiful Sandvig fishing village, which with its Old half-timbered houses reminisces to Industrial times and an agriculture dating back to before the 18th century; It is not far to the "center" of the village, here you’ll find some restaurants, a tiny harbor, shops, galleries and cafes. Grocery shopping is available in Allinge. Sandvig was one of the first tourist destinations on Bornholm. At that time in the late 1800s, Allinge - Sandvig were two smaller, separate fishing villages that arose in the Middle Ages. Since then, they developed into the main areas of the island with quarries and tourism. Today, the ancient quarries are stunning natural lake landscapes with visible signs of ancient industry.
