The house is in Nordby – a charming and well-preserved village in northern Samsø. Nordby is known for its iconic bell tower and tranquil village pond, but it also offers great opportunities to enjoy lunch, an ice cream, or shop for local goods in cosy restaurants. Wander through Nordby's delightful streets and little shops. Here you’ll also find the Samsø Labyrinth – a fun challenge for the whole family. Hopefully, you’ll find the centre – and your way out again!
From Nordby, you’re just a short distance from the scenic Nordby Hills, where beautiful walking routes await. Don’t miss Ballebjerg, the highest point on Samsø, or Issehoved, the island’s northern tip where the Kattegat sea meets.
Only 1.5 km from the house lies a lovely sandy beach on the east coast – perfect for a swim or a stroll along the shore.
Within just 5 minutes’ drive, you can reach Mårup for grocery shopping or bike rentals. Be sure to visit the peaceful Mårup Harbour and enjoy the beautiful views.
Drive further south on the island to discover more charming villages filled with local shops, cafés, and galleries. Ballen is a popular summer harbour town with a wide variety of restaurants and shops. Tranebjerg, the largest town on Samsø, offers even more – including supermarkets, restaurants, the tourist office, and Samsø Museum.
