A short walk takes you straight to the harbor, where you can enjoy ice cream, fresh fish, small shops, and cosy re­stau­rants with sea views. One of the island’s best sandy beaches is right next door, and if you prefer swimming from a jetty, there's one close by as well.

Just 5.5 ki­lo­metres away lies Samsø's beau­ti­ful­ly located 18-hole golf course. Nearby is the village of Besser, known for the charming café and shop Søster Sidevind. In Besser, you’ll also find a lookout tower with wonderful views over the island’s eastern fields. Only a few ki­lo­metres from the house is Samsø’s main town, Tra­neb­jerg, which offers great shopping, specialty stores, Samsø Museum, and the tourist in­for­ma­tion office for even more holiday in­spira­tion.

If you take a trip to northern Samsø, you'll ex­pe­ri­en­ce stunning nature and should treat yourself to a walk in Nordby Bakker. Here, you’ll find both short and longer hiking routes through beautiful glacial landsca­pes with views stret­ching to Tunø, Jutland, Zealand and the Kattegat. When hunger strikes, there are several dining options right nearby in Ballen. Or enjoy a visit to the charming and historic village of Nordby, which also offers cosy re­stau­rants and shops with local de­li­ca­cies.
