This cosy and classic holiday home can be the setting for your holiday for 4 people. The holiday home at­mosp­he­re and the ex­pe­ri­en­ce of scenic Samsø are excellent.

The house was renovated in 2025 with a larger kitchen and a lovely annex in the garden, which sleeps two more people and has its own shower and toilet.

We are excited to welcome you and up to 4 people to this holiday home at Maarup Øster­strand on the northern part of Samsø. The house is a cozy wooden summer house that has retained its original charm. At the same time, it has been nicely renovated, making it a de­light­ful place to spend your vacation. Here, you need to think of nothing other than enjoying your vacation and relaxing with the peace and nature right outside the door.

The kitchen and living room are connected, making it the heart of the house where you can enjoy quality time together. The kitchen is new and fun­ctio­nal, so you can prepare your vacation meals and gather around the dining table. When the weather allows, you can of course also take your morning coffee or perhaps dinner with new Samsø potatoes outside to the covered terrace.

In the corner of the living room, you can relax com­ple­te­ly with a book, a game, or perhaps watch TV. From the living room, you can also enjoy the view of the peaceful summer house area and even over the fields to the west. From the living room, you can easily access the covered terrace via the garden door, so in the summer, the terrace can function as an ad­di­tio­nal room.

The holiday home has two good bedrooms with storage space. In one bedroom, the adults can have a good night's sleep, while the other room is perfect for two children in a bunk bed. There is also a desk, so if you need a bit of work peace, you can sit here in quiet sur­ro­un­dings.

The house also has a bathroom, which has retained some original features from the house's early days, but it is still a bright and neat bathroom with ample space.

Ad­di­tio­nal­ly, there is a lovely annex in the garden, which includes two more beds as well as its own bathroom and toilet.

Enjoy life outdoors
The holiday home has a lovely south-facing covered wooden terrace, which is the perfect spot to sit outside and enjoy the sun or find shelter if it’s windy. The terrace is equipped with garden furniture, so you can take your meals outside, or you can relax in the sun loungers.

The house is located on a lovely plot with a garden where both mowed and tall grass grows. The garden is sur­ro­un­ded by bushes and trees that provide privacy. There are also con­ve­ni­ent parking options at the house, so the practical details are taken care of. Now all that’s left is to enjoy your time together in this beautiful summer house at Maarup Øster­strand on Samsø.

Get close to local ex­pe­ri­en­ces
The holiday home is located in the peaceful summer house area Maarup Øster­strand North, close to Nordby, and one of Samsø's best beaches is only 300 meters from the house. You can easily walk down the gravel path to the beach and take a dip or relax on the sandy beach.

In the northern part of Samsø, there is easy access to water all around the island. If you’d like to take some nice walks, the beautiful and slightly hilly landscape of northern Samsø is perfect for this. The sites Issehoved and Møgelskår are always worth a visit. Be sure to also visit the lovely and well-preserved village of Nordby, where you will find the iconic village pond and the bell tower. Here, we also recommend having a good lunch or enjoying an ice cream.

In Nordby, you’ll also find the world’s largest labyrinth. Yes, it’s true! See if you can find your way to the center together. Mårup is only about 1.5 km from the holiday home, where you can do your grocery shopping or rent a bike.

In the southern part of Samsø, you will find several local at­tra­ctions such as the Falcon Center and the beau­ti­ful­ly located 18-hole golf course. In Tra­neb­jerg and Ballen, you’ll find many re­stau­rants where you can enjoy local produce. Around Samsø's small villages, there are also many small shops and cafes that are worth visiting.
