With room for up to 8 people, this charming holiday home on Samsø is the perfect place to gather family and friends.
The heart of the house is the open-plan living and kitchen area. The open kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals while chatting about the day’s adventures with those relaxing in the living room. The kitchen is both functional and well-equipped with all essential appliances – and offers a lovely view of the large garden. The dining table is situated right next to the kitchen, ideal for shared meals or board games. From the dining area, you can step out onto the south-facing terrace through the garden door and enjoy meals under the open sky or under the covered patio with views of the garden and surrounding nature. The living room is perfect for relaxing with a good book or a film – a wonderful place to unwind.
The house features four bedrooms and sleeps up to 8 guests. Three of the rooms are furnished with double beds, and one room has single beds. The house also has two bathrooms and a washing machine, making practical tasks easy to manage during your stay.
Enjoy life outside
The holiday home is surrounded by a lovely garden with trees and shrubs that provide both privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. There’s plenty of room for children to play on the lawn, and the beach is just 150 metres away. A small path leads directly from the house to the water, perfect for a refreshing swim or a walk along the shore. The terrace, with access from the kitchen, is ideal for barbecuing and enjoying meals outdoors.
Get up close to the local attractions
The beach is just 150 metres from the house – a beautiful sandy beach that’s perfect for children, as the water is relatively shallow. You can enjoy scenic walks along the beach and Sælvig Bay, both to the north and south/west, ending in the small harbour village of Sælvig.
Sælvig Harbour, where the ferries from Jutland arrive, is only a 5-minute drive away. Despite its proximity to the harbour, the house is situated on a quiet gravel road, offering peace and privacy.
The island’s largest town, Tranebjerg, is just 4 kilometres from the house. Here you’ll find several grocery stores, cosy shops, cafés, and even the island’s cinema.
In the southern part of Samsø, there are many small villages that are easy to explore by bike. These villages offer local shops, galleries, and cafés. At the southern tip of the island, you’ll find Vesborg Lighthouse, where you can climb to the top and enjoy a breathtaking view over the southern part of the island and all the way to Funen.
If you drive further north, you can visit the scenic harbour village of Langør, where you can enjoy a summer lunch and look out across the Stauns Fjord.
At the northernmost tip of the island, Nordby Bakker is always worth a visit and a hike. The landscape, formed during the Ice Age, is ever-changing and beautiful in all kinds of weather.
Nordby is a charming village with real character and offers great opportunities for a nice meal or an ice cream. Don’t miss out on beautiful nature experiences and delicious local food.
Nordby Bakker offers outstanding hiking trails through the dramatic Ice Age terrain, and Samsø’s northernmost point, Issehoved, is always worth a visit. The village of Nordby, just 2.5 kilometres away, is full of charm with its iconic clock tower and the chance to enjoy an ice cream by the village pond.
Samsø is ideal for cycling, allowing you to experience the charming villages up close. On the southern part of the island, you can visit Ballen – one of Samsø’s most popular harbour towns – where in summer there’s a wide range of restaurants and activities. Tranebjerg offers good shopping options, specialty stores, cafés, and the Samsø Museum.
Samsø is full of natural experiences – from Issehoved in the north to Brattingsborg Forest in the south. The island’s charming villages and delicious local produce provide the perfect setting for a wonderful and memorable holiday for the whole family.
