Description
Interior
This summerhouse is real cosiness and a great location on Samsø. The large living room with high ceilings, wood stove and plenty of light from the south and west is a lovely setting to enjoy North Samsø's beautiful nature and beaches very close by.
First you enter the house's small hallway, from which you have access to the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room. The well-appointed kitchen has good facilities, including a dishwasher, fridge with freezer and microwave. There is plenty of space to cook while joining in conversations at the dining table, which is divided by a half-wall and directly connected to the kitchen. There is also access from here to an alcove with a built-in double bed.
The open plan kitchen/living area is well distributed with a large dining table, and good connection with the living room. The wide windows bring light into both kitchen and living room. There are also several exits to the terrace, which is perfect for taking meals out in the summer.
The living room is furnished with a comfortable sofa and armchairs that are perfect to curl up in together and maybe play a game or turn on the TV with Danish TV channels and satellite dish. The house also offer WiFI. From the living room there is access to the terrace and a view of the lovely enclosed garden.
The summer house has two nice bedrooms with good closet space. In one room is a double bed, in the other a sofa bed for 2 people and a ladder to the loft. There are also games and garden furniture here. Next to the bedroom is the summerhouse-style bathroom with shower and a small sauna.
The bathroom has underfloor heating, while the rest of the house is heated by electric radiators and a heat pump.
Outdoor
Surrounding the house is a large wooden terrace facing south and west, partially covered to provide both sun and shade. There is good garden furniture, sun loungers and a parasol that can be used when you fire up the barbecue. The terrace also has an outside fireplace, which is very cosy to warm up on a quiet summer evening. At the entrance facing east, there is also a small space ideal for enjoying your breakfast.
The summer house has a large plot with lawn and space for playing football. The garden is enclosed by trees and bushes, so there is greenery and the opportunity to be completely private.
Location
The house is peacefully located on a blind road in the popular holiday home area, Mårup Østerstrand, located on the northern part of Samsø. The north island offers impressive landscapes at Issehoved and Nordby Bakker, where beautiful hiking trails offer the opportunity to experience the hilly ice age landscape and enjoy the view over the Kattegat. Close to the house is Mårup town, which has a Dagli´ Brugs with shopping facilities all year round. In Mårup is also bicycle rental, a gallery and cafés. The well-preserved village of Nordby is just 3 kilometres from the house, and here you will also find small shops, cafés, a brewery and the pretty old half-timbered houses around the street.
Further south you can stop at the Kanhave Canal, which served as the Viking Age's Panama Canal. Today, you can see a model of a Viking ship here, and you can also take a walk along Stauns fjord, whose beautiful landscape also bears witness to Samsø's history.
On Samsø's south island, you will find the biggest city, Tranebjerg, with several shopping opportunities and a wide selection of specialty shops. Within a few kilometres you can visit charming and cosy villages, where there are many small gems worth visiting.
The South Island also offers many places to eat, and the harbour town of Ballen in particular is lively in summer with small concerts and restaurants that can be enjoyed right next to the harbour life.
