“Born­hol­mer­hus,” as the property is called, has a history that dates back to the 19th century. It was first owned by whaler Captain Andersen and later by a merchant family. Although today it is furnished as a stylish holiday home, you can feel trans­por­ted to another time when you walk through the garden gate and approach the decorated front door. Indoors, the rooms have been carefully decorated with Dutch tiles, folk-colored wooden furniture, and other objects that fit beau­ti­ful­ly— but also with modern interior design, ensuring top-notch comfort. For example, you can head towards the viewpoint Spids­b­jerg, and if you want to go for a long walk, you can follow a 17-kilometer hiking trail that takes you around the entire southern part of Rømø. From the house, you have short distances to the nearest grocery store, a bakery, and a mini-golf course, and Havneby is also close by if you want to shop at the fis­h­mon­ger, play golf, or cross the Wadden Sea on the ferry route to the famous German neig­h­bor­ing island of Sylt.
