Interior
This summerhouse is atmospheric, functional and invites you to enjoy a wonderful holiday. The house was originally built in 1945 and has retained its historic charm after a renovation in 2019. The interior of the summerhouse is stylish, bright and inviting. The furniture in a modern but classic summerhouse style and the functionality is top-notch.

The entrance hall is a good distribution corridor with access to the bathroom of the house, a bedroom and a few steps up to the kitchen. The bathroom has underfloor heating, a shower, and a washing machine, as well as light-coloured elements and large tiles.

The bedroom, which is accessed from the entrance hall, has two comfortable single beds and a large window overlooking the conservatory and the green garden.

The kitchen is in connection with the living room. A kitchen-island creates a lovely space with room for good conversations and cosy moments in the kitchen-dining room. The kitchen has plenty of space and good facilities such as an oven, fridge-freezer and dishwasher. Next to the kitchen is a dining area where all guests can gather for meals. The dining area has large windows that provide plenty of light and access to the beautiful garden. From here there is also access to a wonderful conservatory, perfect for cooler days and evenings. The conservatory is comfortably furnished and cosily decorated with plants and large windows, so you can sit here and enjoy your coffee and almost feel like you're outside. Of course, there is also access to the garden from the conservatory.

Adjacent to the kitchen is the living room, where you'll find a spacious sofa and a wall-mounted TV with Danish, Nordic, English and German TV channels. It is also possible to stream your own content on the TV via WiFi.
There is also a wood-burning stove by the sofa, so you can turn on the cosiness and warmth of the wood-burning stove.

The summerhouse has two more bedrooms with double beds, so there is room for a total of 6 guests. The bedrooms are brightly decorated, and one bedroom has its own access to the east-facing garden. There is also an annex in the garden, which accommodate two more guests in the summer. The annex is bright and cosy.

Outdoors
The summerhouse is surrounded by a green and well-maintained garden with paths, lawn and flower beds. The garden is enclosed by trees and hedges, so you can be completely undisturbed here, which also makes it child- and dog-friendly. The garden is a lovely oasis with several terraces and various cosy nooks with garden furniture and sun loungers. From the conservatory there is direct access to a lovely terrace with a dining area overlooking the beautiful garden.

A cosy summer annex in the garden is furnished with two beds, and in front of the annex there is a small terrace with a bench, so you can sit in the middle of the garden and enjoy it.
Outside is also a shed where you'll find a tumble dryer, and an extra freezer.

Area
The summerhouse is located at Mariendal Strand, which is connected to Ajstrup Strand and just south of the Marselisborg forests. It is a quiet summerhouse area, and there is a lovely beach just 150 metres from the house. Nearby you will find the forests at Moesgaard, which are ideal for lovely hiking or cycling trips.

From the summerhouse, it is only a 10-minute drive to the neighbouring towns of Beder and Malling, where there are shopping facilities. Just 3.5 kilometres south of the house is the cosy harbour town of Norsminde, located at the mouth of the beautiful Norsminde Fjord. In Norsminde you can visit Norsminde Kro, which offers delicious food in cosy surroundings.

From Mariendal Strand, it's a 20-minute drive to Aarhus, the capital of Jutland, where you'll find many exciting activities for the whole family. For example, take a trip to the historic old town, “Den Gamle By” or visit Moesgaard Museum. You can also browse the many shops or dine at the city's wide selection of restaurants.
