Interior
Welcome to a cosy and well situated holiday home in Saksild not far from a beautiful sandy beach.
In this lovely cottage there is room for 6 overnight guests divided into 3 bedrooms, each with a double bed. One bedroom has direct access to the bathroom.
The living room has a couch which invites you to cosy up with the family, where everyone can relax and chat about what to experience during the holiday.
The kitchen is in open connection with the living room, so there is the possibility to participate in games, coziness and cooking at the same time.
The house has a heat pump, which provides a comfortable heat in a short time when needed.
The bathroom is nice and functional with underfloor heating.
In the utility room there is both a washing machine and a dryer so that the beach towels can be washed after a long day at the beach.
During the summer months, there are also two sleeping places in the annex in the garden which can be used.
Outdoor
The house has a lovely terrace where all meals can be enjoyed, when the weather allows you to. Here you can also sit and watch the children as they play in the garden. When the weather changes, there is a covered terrace, so evening meals can be enjoyed outside - most of the year.
The ground is large and invites to outdoor games and free play.
We are sure that the area with the wilderness spa and outdoor sauna will be the favourite place during your stay. Here you can enjoy time with each other, relax and let time pass in the best way.
If you are a winter swimmer, a trip to the sea followed by a wilderness bath and sauna tour is a must.
At the house there are three bicycles which may be used at your own risk in the condition they are found. The area is ideal for a nice bike ride.
Location
The summer house is located only 200 m. from East Jutland's very best beach. The sandy beach is shallow and very child-friendly.
Within walking distance is Restaurant Bondehuset, Vaffelhuset, Trekanten (pizza) and Strandshoppen with various groceries and a new mini golf course from summer 2021. In Saksild you will also find Denmark's oldest mini golf course, where you can challenge each other and eat tasty large ice cream.
If you like active holidays, you can for example enjoy the water, cycling or hiking in the beautiful nature in the area. Tip: Bike and paddle rental at Saksild Strand Camping.
It is not far to the small cozy marina town Norsminde, here you can enjoy an ice cream or dine at the reputable Norsminde Kro.
From Hou there is a daily ferry service to the islands of Samsø and Tunø. So a day trip to one of these cosy islands is a must.
Only 8 km. from the cottage is Odder, which offers the cosiest shopping street with fine shopping opportunities, large selection of shops for groceries and fine sights. Visit here "Denmark's largest Kvickly", a grocerystore which has various good offers and experiences.
The bowling centre "Kuglen & Keglen" in Odder also has many outdoor activities for the whole family, both big and small.
Half an hour's drive away, Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city, can be enjoyed and experienced. Here you will find the historic living museum Den Gamle By, the art museum AROS, the Moesgaard Museum, the shopping centre Bruuns Galleri and the Tivoli Friheden. The city offers a wide range of cultural experiences, shopping and many fine dining options.
