Historic summer villa right next to the beach
House-ID: LK1972Strandbohus, the name of this stately holiday home from 1917, boasts an exclusive location in Furreby, right by the North Sea. Indeed, it probably has one of the best addresses on the west coast, promising a memorable holiday with unrestricted views of the water and just a few steps to the beach, all while enjoying privacy on the coastal-protected grounds.
The History
It was the Copenhagen-based goldsmith Harald Fischer who built the summer house over a century ago. He was one of the first holidaymakers to visit Løkken and became a great benefactor to the town. Both he and the property offer much for history enthusiasts to discover here: https://www.loekkenhistorie.dk/sommerhuse/sommervil/294-sommervillaen-strandbohus-furreby.
Welcome inside
Like Harald Fischer, you now have the chance to enjoy a beach holiday at Strandbohus, which has retained its beautiful exterior with its hipped tile roof and whitewashed facade. Indoors, the summer house has been updated, so you can look forward to comfortable days – with everything from fast Wi-Fi and Apple TV to cozy beds, a wood-burning stove, and a modern kitchen with a new 2024 fridge-freezer, Quooker, and dishwasher. Part of the furniture, however, is more classic, such as the charming dining table with its wooden chairs. Here, you can feel connected to history while enjoying a good meal with views of the North Sea. The kitchen and dining area are open to the living room, while the basement features a utility room and a bathroom with a sauna. Another bathroom is located on the first floor, along with one smaller and two larger bedrooms. Overall, it is a spacious, bright, and atmospheric holiday home for four people.
Enjoy life outside
The summer house is perched above the beach on coastal-protected grounds, giving you a stunning panoramic view of the North Sea and the coastline from the south- and west-facing part of the terrace. Alternatively, you can sit on the east side of the house if you want to enjoy your morning coffee in the sun or find shelter from the sea breeze.
Get up close to the local attractions
At Ternevej 39, you are just north of the Furreby Stream, meaning you are very close to Løkken. You can easily walk to the charming town center, where you can admire old fishermen’s houses and visit the Løkken Museum to delve deeper into local history – or perhaps you’re more inclined to explore the town’s brewery, art galleries, and excellent dining spots. A holiday in Løkken also offers opportunities for fishing, surfing, and plenty of swims, especially when you’re staying right by the beach.
Remember, you can always borrow wagons, high chairs, and baby cots from us at Feriepartner Løkken. Pick them up directly at the office and return them when your holiday is over.
