Lovely holiday home with beautiful fjord views. Where nature is both close by and far from the city.
House-ID: FJ1600Welcome to this spacious holiday home with beds for 5 people in 2 rooms.
This holiday home has an open-plan kitchen and living area, as well as a lovely bright living room with a wood-burning stove for when the weather turns cold. The house is heated with underfloor heating in several rooms and an air-to-air heat pump with cooling function in the rest of the house. There are solar panels on the roof. The house offers a beautiful view of Roskilde Fjord to Frederikssund Marina and Crown Princess Mary's Bridge. Enjoy life and the view from a wind-protected terrace with a glass of rosé wine within reach.
Enjoy life outside
There are several fruit trees in the garden and a trampoline for the youngest members of the family. Both a swimming pool and a golf course, as well as the town of Frederikssund with its many attractions, are within a very short distance of the house. It takes less than an hour by car to reach Rådhuspladsen in Copenhagen.
Get up close to the local attractions
There are excellent excursion opportunities right outside the house. Take a walk down to the cosy Skuldelev harbour where you can meet the locals, and perhaps an angler has caught an extra fish that can be grilled at home. Take a walk on Skuldelev Ås, which stretches approx. 5 km through the landscape at a height of approx. 30 metres, a beautiful walk with flowers and wildlife. There is also a swimming lake with a shelter and campfire site, definitely an excursion worth taking. If you take your bike or car, Svanholm Manor or Selsø Castle are good suggestions for excursion destinations, or take a trip on the Fjord Trail where you can explore nature along the fjord. The area offers several good places to eat, including Gershøj Kro and Gerlev Kro. Within about 30 minutes, you can also get to Roskilde and experience the old cathedral town and visit the Viking Ship Museum, among other things. Head to Frederikssund to the Viking settlement, where Viking games are played in the summer, or experience the Frederikssund Festival in August, Denmark's cosiest festival, or try one of the town's restaurants – there is a wide selection to choose from.
