Enjoy life outside
-under the parasol on the lawn or terrace. Use the garden as you wish and feel free to sleep in the shelter, which is free to use if the nights become too warm indoors. The breakfast table is ideal for moving out under the parasol. The lovely beach at and around the island's campsite is just a short distance away when it's time for a dip, and get ready for a string of evenings with the barbecue lit and delicious local produce on the dinner table.
Get up close to the local attractions
Orø offers tranquillity, nature, an authentic atmosphere, footpaths, beaches and local culture. The island has approximately 14 km of marked footpaths. Explore and discover exciting botany and wildlife while you are out in nature. You can also cycle around the island on your own or a rented bicycle. There is a beach and water for both a swim in the Isefjord or perhaps a canoe/kayak trip along the shallow coast. Visit Orø Church or one of the local cafés/restaurants, Bings, located right in the middle of the island. If you want more experiences, just hop on the ferry to Holbæk, whose town centre exudes a great atmosphere and cosiness and calls for a brisk shopping trip. Here you will find a wealth of cafés, bistros and restaurants to suit every taste and budget.
