Get close to local experiences Skovgårde Strand is a quiet and very beautiful area a few kilometers west of Fjellerup Strand. An old fishing village, which today is a beautiful natural area on the coast of Norddjursland. The beach is very child-friendly and has a blue flag. On the beach, there are dunes and pools as well as shallow water and sandy bottom. The nature in and around Skovgårde is fantastic and varied with many hiking trails and small roads, ideal for hiking and cycling. Along the coast, there are good opportunities for fishing. Also, visit the local area and buy fresh fish, Danish vegetables, and honey. Near many family and amusement parks, such as Europe's largest Djurs Sommerland. You eat well in many places throughout Djursland, and the nature is absolutely fantastic. If you're in need of a big city and culture, it's just an hour's drive to Denmark's second-largest city, Aarhus.
