If you need fresh air and scenic surroundings, Skaven Strand by Ringkøbing Fjord is the perfect holiday destination. And this particular holiday home has a bright and inviting interior and a lovely green garden, so after swimming, walking or cycling you have plenty of opportunity to relax and enjoy the holiday life.
Welcome inside
The summer house is a well-furnished wooden house that was built in 2007 and has since been nicely maintained. In classic fashion, there are vaulted ceilings and light wood paneling inside the doors, and the large windows invite daylight in and offer a view of the green garden and the open landscape to the south. There are three good bedrooms, and if you love to cook, you can look forward to cooking in the well-equipped kitchen, which is in open connection with the living room. The living room itself has a wonderful sofa section that invites you to relax completely with a film on the flat-screen TV or an exciting crime story - and before you settle in too comfortably, you can light up the wood-burning stove if it suits you the season.
Enjoy life outside
If it's not weather for cozying up by the wood-burning stove, but for sunbathing and freshly grilled meals, it's obvious to move the relaxation outside - for example on one of the good terraces that spread around the cottage. The green lawn is nice to play on, and the swing set with slide and sandbox are guaranteed to keep the youngest family members entertained for quite some time. Both parents of small children and dog owners will probably appreciate that the plot is completely enclosed, because then it is easier to keep everyone together in a safe environment. There is a gate at the entrance, and a charger for an electric car has been installed on the facade of the house, so it is very easy if you arrive in one.
Get close to the local attractions
The holiday house is nicely and quietly located on a closed wing at the southernmost end of the building. The beach is of course a draw, and it only takes a few minutes to walk there, so you can easily get several dips in during the day – and if you want to surf or go out on a SUP board, these are also popular activities. In Skaven Strand there are playgrounds, a ball field, a charming harbor environment and a campsite with both mini golf and a fishing lake, and at Restaurant Skavenhus you can eat with a view of Ringkøbing Fjord. In other words, a large part of the holiday can be spent within a short radius of the summer house, but an excursion to scenic Skjern Enge, cozy Bork Harbor and Nymindegab towards the North Sea is just a little of what also awaits within a short driving distance.
