The cottage has four lovely bedrooms. All rooms are furnished with single beds that can be put together as needed, and one room also has a bunk bed. This makes the house par­ti­cu­lar­ly suitable for the family or several ge­ne­ra­tions who want to spend a holiday together. You will also find a lovely bathroom with a washing machine – a practical detail when your holiday lasts more than a few days.

The house is located in one of the beautiful holiday home areas at Borgnæs Bay, and the lovely sandy beach is only about 100 meters away. This makes it easy to head down to the water when the sun is shining – perhaps for a morning swim, a day with the kids on the beach or a quiet evening walk along the coast.

At home at the cottage, a large and lovely garden awaits with plenty of space for both play, ball games and re­laxa­tion. Here the children can romp around while the adults find a quiet spot in the sun or enjoy the holiday with a good book.

The large, newer terrace quickly becomes a natural gathering point on warm days. Here there is room for long bre­ak­fasts under the open sky, relaxing af­ter­noons and cozy barbecue evenings as the day draws to a close. And with the short distance to the beach, it is obvious to let the swimwear become the day's favorite outfit.

Get close to local ex­pe­ri­en­ces

With a holiday in Borgnæs, you have a very good starting point for ex­pe­ri­en­cing Ærø. Here you live pea­ce­ful­ly and sce­ni­cal­ly on the coast, but at the same time with a ma­na­geab­le distance to the island's cozy towns, small villages and many local ex­pe­ri­en­ces.

A visit to Ærøskøbing is almost a must. The old market town is called the Fairytale City for good reason, and a walk through the cobbled streets between colourful, well-preserved houses is an ex­pe­ri­en­ce in itself. But Ærøskøbing is much more than beautiful facades. Life is lived here all year round with cafés, re­stau­rants, specialty shops and a cozy harbor en­viron­ment. Maybe you will also meet one of the many brides and grooms who choose Ærø as a romantic setting for their big day every year.

The trip can also go to Marstal, where Ærø's proud maritime history is still felt eve­rywhe­re. Take a walk along the harbour, ex­pe­ri­en­ce the cosy streets or visit the Marstal Maritime Museum, where stories about sailors, ships and life on the world's oceans bring the island's maritime history up close.

To the north, Søby and the beautiful nature around Skjoldnæs await. Here you can visit Skjoldnæs Ligh­t­hou­se and enjoy the im­pres­si­ve view of the sea and the South Funen Ar­chipela­go. Around the ligh­t­hou­se is also the specta­cu­lar­ly located golf course, where the view can almost compete with the game itself.

One of the special things about Ærø is precisely that eve­ryt­hing is close by. Hop on the free bus, take the bikes out on the small roads or go exploring and find your own favorite places. Beaches, small harbours, local producers, cosy eateries and beautiful nature await you here – and often the best holiday ex­pe­ri­en­ces appear where you least expect them.
