Unique holiday house located on a large natural plot

This personal and aesthetic - very unique – holiday house is located on a huge un­dis­tur­bed natural plot with a small wood, bonfire spot with a view of the entire garden and many cosy haunts in the garden. Only 850m from one of the area’s nature beaches.

Interior 
The house is con­structed on several levels with in­tri­gu­ing details. It is owned by an artist and decorated with art and a mixture of modern and antique furniture, providing a lovely at­mosp­he­re.

The house gives you the op­portu­ni­ty for cosy times together as well as the po­s­si­bi­li­ty to retreat alone, f. inst. with a good book indoor or outdoor. The kitchen is open-plan with the dining room and the lounge. In 2022 the Kitchen is replaced with a new Hanstholm Kitchen. From the kitchen door you step right on to a west-facing terrace, where you can enjoy the evening sun and a barbecue night with your family. The kitchen is spacious enough for everybody to help prepare the meal, and the dis­hwas­her takes care of the dirty service. From the lounge there is also access to another terrace, facing east, where you can enjoy your coffee in the morning sun or you can lie down and sunbathe un­dis­tur­bed until mid-afternoon. From here you can access the annex that sleeps two.

In the living room you have access to streaming TV via chro­mecast with access to various Danish TV channels including German TV channels and Netflix, and a stereo system that you can connect to your smartp­ho­ne to listen to radio or music.The bedroom with the wood burner has a double bed and functions as a combined bedroom and study where you can work and enjoy the view of the small wood and the garden. The panorama windows with two sliding doors provide loads of light and the op­portu­ni­ty to see the deer strutting on the natural plot. If you are lucky, they will come really close to the house. The bedroom also has a small pergola terrace where you can sit and enjoy the view of the garden. We recommend not using the wood burner in the summer months.  

The second bedroom is a small room with a single bed and a wardrobe.

The third bedroom is in the annex and has a doublebed, a chest of drawers, a dress rail and a shoe shelf. From the annex you step right out onto the southeast-facing terrace.

The garden
The garden is sur­ro­un­ded by tall trees without stealing the sun light. The driveway is big enough to take several cars. The garden has many cosy corners. You can sit on the hilltop and enjoy the view by the bonfire or have a cosy chat in the gre­en­hou­se, sheltered from the rain. It is okay with the owners to pick herbs from the garden for your meal, as long as you leave enough for the next guests who rent the house after you. In the herb garden you find thyme, oregano, rosemary, chives, dill, parsley, broad-leaved parsley, lovage, sage, potatoes, rhubarbs, blu­e­ber­ri­es and much more.

Location / the area
The holiday house is located in an area with many op­portu­ni­ties to ex­pe­ri­en­ce food, nature and acti­vi­ties for children. Try a walking tour in Geopark Odsherred or have a meal at “Det Vilde Køkken”. There are many beaches to visit along the coast and lovely bicycle routes to try. Or you can take a walk in the former limestone quarry in Klint, where you can enjoy the sunset over the sea or throw your fishing line into the water. Or what about a round on the golf course?

650m from the holiday house you find the friendly Spar grocery store with eve­ryt­hing you want. So no need to go all the way to Nykøbing Sjælland for the daily shopping.  

In Odsherred there are many artists. In the harbour area of Nykøbing Sjælland you can visit several artists who live and have their studios there, and on the pe­de­stri­an street you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the genuine holiday at­mosp­he­re. Here you also find the local theatre, fis­h­mon­ger, cosy cafés and lots of shopping.
