Gl. Færgehavn is a great place to spend your holiday, as you can stay in beautiful natural sur­ro­un­dings right by the Wadden Sea. In this lovely summer house, you have a view of the water whether you are in the kitchen-dining area or the living room – and of course also when you enjoy life outside on the terrace and balcony.

Welcome inside
More spe­ci­fi­cal­ly, the summer house is a solid townhouse made of red bricks with a thatched roof on top. Inside, you can spread out over 116 m², di­stri­bu­ted over two floors, and at the very top, you will find a loft that serves as a cozy sup­ple­ment to the house's three bedrooms. As a nice detail, there are two bathrooms available – and one of them is even equipped with a sauna, so you can relax with a sauna session when you return home from your day trips. If you start to feel hungry, it’s pleasant to spend time preparing food in the kitchen-dining area while admiring the view of the Wadden Sea, and if you move up to the living room after the meal, you still have a clear view of the water and Rømø's beautiful east coast.

Enjoy life outside
The covered balcony on the first floor is a wonderful place to enjoy the sun, summer life, and the view over the Wadden Sea, and the east-facing terrace is just as ideally situated. Here, you will find com­fortab­le garden furniture, a lounge chair, a gas grill, and a parasol: In other words, you have a perfect setting for outdoor living, and there is even a small play­gro­und in the green communal area near the house.

Get up close to the local at­tra­ctions
The summer house is so beau­ti­ful­ly situated that it’s tempting to just stay in the garden chair and soak in the view: The Wadden Sea is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, so the sur­ro­un­dings are truly something special. There is much to explore when you venture away from the house and set out to discover Rømø. For instance, you can go on a forest trip in Kirkeby Plan­ta­tion and climb the viewpoint Spids­b­jerg, and a swim at Lakolk Beach is also recom­men­ded. If you need to shop, there is a good butcher very close to the summer house, and there are also a su­per­mar­ket, bakery, and fis­h­mon­gers on the island. Crossing the Rømø causeway into the mainland grants you free access to the water park at Skærbækcentret, which also offers bowling, a playland, an artists’ house, and much more.
