On the east-facing side of Rømø is cosy Lakolk, which is the oldest holiday home area on the island. Lakolk is located close to Rømø Bilstrand, where you can take the car all the way down to the water's edge. This way, you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the entire mile-long coastline, in­cre­dib­le plains and beautiful views. Finally, the area is ideal for biking – and hiking, or you can explore it on horseback or surfboard.

Near Mid­del­fart, you have the small village of Føns. The locals know Føns as the natural gem of western Funen. And not unju­sti­fied. Here you are gu­a­ran­te­ed forests and green scenery, a rich bird life and the most wonderful beach right outside your cottage door. In this small village, there is also ample op­portu­ni­ty to go hiking outdoors. And if you are into bird watching, Føns is the perfect holiday desti­na­tion as you will find several bird species all in one place. Føns is known for its excellent beach at Føns Vig. Here you will find a sand bed and shallow water – and of course, the beach is a Blue Flag beach.
