A stone’s throw from Denmark’s sout­her­n­most point sits Gedesby, which offers authentic village vibes and idyllic scenery. In and around the town you will find beautiful old houses, thatched farm­hou­ses and cosy green landsca­pes. The church, which dates back to the 1300s, is nestled in the centre of the town sur­ro­un­ded by the quaint main street and beautiful old mill. The nature here is fantastic, with plan­ta­tions, hiking trails and forests – and not least Gedesby Beach, which stretches as far as the eye can see.

Pøt Strandby is a holiday home area on the east coast of Jutland with views of Kattegat. The area offers the most beautiful beach with white sand and calm, shallow waters and lush forest areas. With its fine swimming con­di­tions, the beach is extremely child-friendly and perfect for playing in the water, clamshell hunting as well as making sand castles under clear blue skies. You can also explore local wildlife in the area’s many forest areas with both bicycling and hiking trails. Pøt Strandby is located close to Ju­els­min­de and Horsens, where you will find several different shopping op­portu­ni­ties, cosy cafes and cultural at­tra­ctions.

North of Kolding, where the Little Belt narrows and bridges connect Jutland and Funen, you will find Fre­de­ri­cia. A historic hub with plenty of cultural offerings. The city’s signature at­tra­ction, Fre­de­ri­cia Rampart, is among Europe’s largest preserved fortres­ses and offers fa­sci­nat­ing city walks that bring the city’s military history to life. Go whale watching on the Little Belt or visit the Mads­by­par­ken park with the family – a free excursion spot with lots of fun and play. In the city centre a lively pe­de­stri­an street awaits with shopping options ranging from local spe­ci­a­li­ties to in­ter­na­tio­nal shops.

Næs and Skaverup are located below Avnø Fjord. Two scenic gems side by side at the water’s edge with stunning views up through the fjord. Take a holiday home break immersed in nature, with diverse wildlife and varied terrain. The landscape is ideal for hiking and cycling through fields, forests and along the beaches. You can also explore the area from the water, for example in a kayak, or see it all from above if you climb the im­pres­si­ve Gåsetårn (Goose Tower). Vor­ding­borg is just a few ki­lo­metres away, a city rich in historic buildings, urban life, shops and cultural at­tra­ctions.
