Nykøbing Sjælland is known for its wealth of shopping options with lots of locally produced spe­ci­al­ties and cosy cafés that make the city ideal for an excursion while on holiday. For the ad­ven­tu­rous, a boat trip with the boat “Marianne F” is a must, and otherwise there is ample op­portu­ni­ty to rent bikes and explore the sur­ro­un­dings. The city’s public swimming pool and cinema provide en­tertain­ment re­gard­less of the weather, and the lively pe­de­stri­an street is perfect for shopping and re­laxa­tion during and in between the high seasons.

Pøt Strandby is a holiday home area on the east coast of Jutland with views of Kattegat. The area offers the most beautiful beach with white sand and calm, shallow waters and lush forest areas. With its fine swimming con­di­tions, the beach is extremely child-friendly and perfect for playing in the water, clamshell hunting as well as making sand castles under clear blue skies. You can also explore local wildlife in the area’s many forest areas with both bicycling and hiking trails. Pøt Strandby is located close to Ju­els­min­de and Horsens, where you will find several different shopping op­portu­ni­ties, cosy cafes and cultural at­tra­ctions.

Balka is located in a small bay on the south coast of Bornholm and is known for its beach. The water is calm, the sand is white, and the curved coastline forms the most beautiful oasis. Immerse yourself in the stunning natural sur­ro­un­dings for a few hours and forget the rest of the world. You can explore the area on foot or by bike. Charming Snogebæk is south of Balka, with shops, eateries, a smo­ke­hou­se, and a cosy harbour setting.
