Saksild Strand is a popular holiday home area just outside the town of Saksild. The area is par­ti­cu­lar­ly well-known for its beautiful beach of the same name. Indeed, the beach is actually referred to as one of East Jutland’s best beaches. Here there is white sand and calm waters without large waves and un­dercur­rents. And of course, the beach has also been awarded Blue Flag-cer­ti­fi­ca­tion for such fine swimming con­di­tions. In and around the holiday home area you will find several good eateries and a nearby ice cream house known for its great ice cream. From Saksild Strand you have a 20-minute drive to Aarhus, while you can get to Odder in 10 minutes.

Tversted offers genuine holiday spirit with a short distance to wide sandy beaches and close to town life. The holiday town has an abundance of local events and social ini­ti­a­ti­ves. In the summer, various concerts and cultural events are held here and the largest jazz festival in Northern Jutland takes place in these parts every year. You can also immerse yourself in the cultural history of the town and explore the old mills adorning the townscape.
