Ommel

In Ommel, you will immediately get a sense of the charm and tranquility of island life. The gathering point for local residents and holidaymakers in the area is undoubtedly Ommel Harbour; from here you can enjoy looking at the boats bobbing gently in the water. In continuation of the harbour, you will find the most wonderful sandy beach, a small tranquil gem in the middle of it all. The beach is a draw to the locals in the area so you will also quickly get the sense of being a part of the local environment, far away from the typical turist attractions. In Ommel, you can go for walks along the water, enjoy the fresh sea breeze and the beautiful views of the Baltic Sea.
Limfjorden_Vesthimmerland_Ertebølle

Ertebølle

Ertebølle is known for its historical significance and breathtaking nature. The area offers a fascinating look at the history of hunter-gatherers during the Stone Age. Visit the impressive Stone Age Centre Ertebølle where you can immerse yourself into the lives of ancient Stone Age people, who lived 7,000 years ago, through interactive experiences such as hunting, sailing and flintknapping for Ertebølle Hoved, a unique cliff with layers of volcanic ash, is a testament to the distinctive geological features of the area. The cliff offers excellent opportunities to find fossils and understand why this place is so special that it has become a candidate for the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Bagenkop

Located on the southern tip of Langeland, the pleasant holiday village of Bagenkop is home to one of the best beaches on the island where you can soak up the sun and swim in the clear water. Previously, Bagenkop was a busy ferry town and you can still get that feeling when you take a walk along the harbour that overlooks the small well-preserved fishermen cottages. From the quay, you can enjoy the sight of the colourful fishing boats and meet the local fishermen hauling in the catch of the day. You can also put on your hiking boots and experience the wild horses grazing at Dovns Klint; and if you are lucky, you might spot a porpoise or two in the green surroundings.
