Near Mid­del­fart, you have the small village of Føns. The locals know Føns as the natural gem of western Funen. And not unju­sti­fied. Here you are gu­a­ran­te­ed forests and green scenery, a rich bird life and the most wonderful beach right outside your cottage door. Here you will find a sand bed and shallow water – and of course, the beach is a Blue Flag beach.

Tåsinge is located in the South Funen Ar­chipela­go and is connected to Funen via Svend­borgs­und­bro­en (Svendborg Sound Bridge). On Tåsinge, you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Southern Funen, seaviews and luxuriant woodlands where the trails guide you on your expl­ora­tions of the wildlife and flora of the area. On the southern part of Tåsinge, you have the summer land area of Stenodden. Here times appear to stand still and the quietude is only in­ter­rup­ted by the croaking of the European fire-bellied toads in the distance. Near Stenodden, you will find an extremely child-friendly beach with shallow, calm water. The beach has plenty of room for splashing around in the water, re­laxa­tion as well as canoeing and kayaking all day long.

Spend your holiday in the heart of Vejlby Klit, where you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce a wonderful mix of nature and lively local urban life. For example, climb the highest dune, where you’ll be rewarded with bre­ath­taking views of the scenic area – which is also a great spot for an evening walk or a cosy picnic. In the town centre, you’ll find eve­ryt­hing the heart desires when it comes to local shops and eateries, and during the high season there is live music and barbecues several times a week. Finally, immerse yourself in the area’s thriving arts and culture scene and visit a gallery or local artisan shop.
