The old merchant town and port city of Thisted is the perfect desti­na­tion for an exciting holiday excursion, with charming streets and the historic, heritage-listed town hall, which adds at­mosp­he­re to the city. Located on the southern tip of Langeland, the pleasant holiday village of Bagenkop is home to one of the best beaches on the island where you can soak up the sun and swim in the clear water. Pre­vious­ly, Bagenkop was a busy ferry town and you can still get that feeling when you take a walk along the harbour that overlooks the small well-preserved fishermen cottages. From the quay, you can enjoy the sight of the colourful fishing boats and meet the local fishermen hauling in the catch of the day. You can also put on your hiking boots and ex­pe­ri­en­ce the wild horses grazing at Dovns Klint; and if you are lucky, you might spot a porpoise or two in the green sur­ro­un­dings.

In Sjællands Odde you will find unique nature and an authentic harbour en­viron­ment. Take a trip to Odden Harbour, where the air is full of the smell of freshly smoked fish from the iconic smo­ke­hou­se designed by Arne Jacobsen, while enjoying the sight of fishing boats and fresh fish. Organic farm shops offer local de­li­ca­cies, while Ørnberg Vin creates award-winning white wines. Enjoy a stroll on the pier to feel refreshed by the sea spray and see yachts, or take a bike ride out to Gniben to ex­pe­ri­en­ce pristine nature and military history. Also remember to visit Brøns Odde, a shipwreck from 1948, which is about 80 metres from the coast.
