Bjerge Beach is a holiday home area on the west coast of Zealand with views of the Great Belt. The area is known for its two beaches, which are extremely popular and a gathering point for locals and ho­li­day­ma­kers. Col­loqui­al­ly, the beaches are known as the South and North Beaches and both offer plenty of water play, sun­bat­hing and water sports. The area around Bjerge Beach is also rich in nature ex­pe­ri­en­ces. For example, just 10 km away you will find Denmark’s fourth largest lake, Tissø. Sur­ro­un­ded by protected nature, the lake draws several different species of birds. Visit the ob­ser­va­tion tower near the lake and ex­pe­ri­en­ce birdlife up close.

Centrally located on Langeland, you will find the charming village Tranekær – a place with a lot of history. Tranekær is espe­ci­al­ly famous for Tranekær Castle and the castle park, TICKON – Tranekær In­ter­na­tio­nal Centre for Art and Nature where you can see works of art build from organic materials. The castle park is worth a visit re­gard­less the time of year. The charming village is sur­ro­un­ded by forests and coast­li­nes, the perfect in­vi­ta­tion to go cycling and hiking. Here you can explore the wildlife and flora of the area. While out, you may come across Tranekær Castle Mill that bear witness to the rich history of the area and the agri­cul­tu­ral tra­di­tions of Langeland.

In the beautiful landscape of Northern Funen, you have the summer land area of Tørresø where you can enjoy life on the finest sandy beach stret­ching along the coast. You can also ex­pe­ri­en­ce the natural green sur­ro­un­dings with rolling hillsca­pes, open fields and small woodlands. Explore the area, watch the birds and ex­pe­ri­en­ce the amazing flora that changes from season to season. Just outside of Tørresø, you will find Otterup featuring a range of shops and eateries. And in the summer, you can even enjoy the weekly markets where you can buy local produce and de­li­ca­cies.

Spend your holiday in a summer cottage in the most northern town on Langeland, Lohals. Here you get to ex­pe­ri­en­ce the homely harbour en­viron­ment where townspe­op­le and ho­li­day­ma­kers come together. During the summer, the region invites you to several cultural events. For example, Lohals is hosting the annual meatball festival (Fri­ka­del­le­fest) on Langeland. This is a cultural event ce­le­brat­ing the Danish food culture one summer day each year. You can stop by and enjoy a large homemade meatball while sur­ro­un­ded by music and the local community. In addition to harbour community, Lohals also offers exciting ad­ven­tu­res on the water. Throug­hout the area, you will find the ideal setting for fishing and water sports.
