The summer land area of Skårup Strand is located 8 km west of Bogense. From Skårup Strand, you can enjoy all the best of Funen coast. The beach is also a popular spot for water sports ent­hu­si­asts as the calm water make it possible to jump up on the pad­dle­bo­ard or go kayaking. The old market town of Aakirkeby is located in the southern part of Bornholm, an ideal location for the island’s beaches. Here, you will find stunning Dueodde with its white, sandy beaches winding as far as the eye can see, but Balka Beach and Boderne also rank among Bornholm’s best beaches. Aakirkeby offers hi­sto­ri­cal buildings, museums, and cultural at­tra­ctions. If you move towards the middle of the island, you will get to Al­min­din­gen, Denmark’s fifth-largest forest. Spend several hours exploring the terrain and the hi­sto­ri­cal and cultural sights here, such as Ryt­ter­k­næg­ten and Ekkodalen.

Søby is the most northern town on Ærø, ori­gi­nal­ly serving as an old shipyard and ferry town and this also manifests itself in the small streets and alleys of the town oozing maritime at­mosp­he­re. From the harbour, you can see the local life unfold and how the ferry de­par­tu­res con­tri­bu­te to the life and the constant buzzing on the harbour. Søby is par­ti­cu­lar­ly known to golf ent­hu­si­asts because it is in these parts of the island you will find the most beautiful seaside golf course in Northern Europe. The golf course is located a mere 5 km north of Søby and is nestled in scenic sur­ro­un­dings. From Søby, you can also go hiking and cycling to take in the scenic co­un­trysi­de and coast­li­nes of Ærø.
