Bogense

Northern Funen is home to the oldest market town on Funen, Bogense, offering the best views of the Kattegat. In the charming town centre, you will find small, well-preserved houses scattered around in the old, narrow and winding streets. Here you can see the historic Sankt Nikolaj Church and enjoy the lovely merchant square where you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the weekly market day with flower, fruit and vegetable stalls. Bogense also features various specialty shops and re­stau­rants. North of Ker­te­min­de, you have the Hindsholm peninsula with its coast­li­nes spora­di­cal­ly changing between sandy beaches and cliff ledges. On Hindsholm, you will, among other things, find Viby, one of the best preserved villages in Denmark. Hindsholm also offers mag­ni­fi­cent nature ex­pe­ri­en­ces with the op­portu­ni­ty for hiking and bird watching.
