Welcoming holiday homes in Denmark

Col­loqui­al­ly, Mariager Fjord is known as the most beautiful fjord in Denmark and maybe not without reason. Here you can let yourself be fa­sci­na­ted by the glassy water, the luxuriant forests and open co­un­trysi­de. You can ex­pe­ri­en­ce the fjord from the water by hiring a kayak or going on a guided sail. And if you are into hiking, you can find various green trails to explore. Mariager is known as the “Town of Roses” as it is adorned with a wide range of roses planted in the streets and alleys in the town. In and around Mariager, you will find a number of museums and cultural-hi­sto­ri­cal at­tra­ctions, all of which bear witness to the history of the area.

Spend your summer holiday in the seaport of Kindvig on South Zealand, with its lovely beaches and at­mosp­he­ric en­viron­ment. You can hike or cycle through lush forests and open landsca­pes, while exploring local cultural and hi­sto­ri­cal sights. There are several old churches and well-preserved manor houses in the area, re­flecting the rich history of the region. In Kindvig, you will find farm shops, artisan shops and galleries, giving you ample op­portu­ni­ty to delve into local spe­ci­al­ties. There are also plenty of great places for those who like to fish, and if you’re lucky, you might catch dinner!

Beautiful Østmøn invites you on a holiday home break in the middle of some of Denmark’s most specta­cu­lar nature. There are plenty of excur­sions, for example, to charming Klintholm Harbour, and lovely beaches, such as Ulvshale and Råbylille – and don’t miss out on fantastic Møns Klint, which is close by. Visit the cosy little island of Nyord, which awaits with an idyllic island vibe. Østmøn also offers re­stau­rants, local spe­ci­al­ties and cosy harbour eateries, where you can settle down and enjoy the at­mosp­he­re. There are also cultural and hi­sto­ri­cal ex­pe­ri­en­ces in store and ancient relics to find if you are lucky.

South of Aarhus you will find the holiday home area, Mariendal Strand. Near the area is the beach, which is sur­ro­un­ded by natural sur­ro­un­dings and has a cosy fire pit. Here you can enjoy views of Aarhus Bay while roasting mars­h­mal­lows over an open fire with your feet planted in the fine sand. If you like biking, you can cycle towards Aarhus to the forests of Moesgaard and Mar­se­lis­borg, which stretch all the way down to the coast. And when visiting this area, you might want to visit the Moesgaard Museum, which has several exhi­bi­tions of ar­cha­e­o­lo­gi­cal finds, including the Grauballe Man, who - probably - is the world’s most well-preserved bog body.
