Middelfart

You will not be bored when holidaying in a summer cottage in Middelfart. From the town, you can enjoy front row seats to the most beautiful views of the Little Belt. Yes, you can actually experience the Little Belt from several angles. For example, you can go “bridgewalking”, giving you a view of the Little Belt from a height of 60 metres. And if you want to get really close, you can go whale watching and explore the large population of porpoises in the belt. The town also offers a range of activities on land. Here you will find several vigorous nature areas. For example, you can go hiking in Hindsgavl Animal Park where you can get up close and personal with free roaming deer and other small animals.

Borgnæs

Borgnæs is a popular summer land area on Ærø. Here you are surrounded by luxuriant nature and spectacular scenery. From Borgnæs, you have access to the Archipelago Trail, one of the longest hiking trails in Denmark, taking you across the Archipelago. Put on your walking shoes and explore the fascinating nature. You can also jump in the blue sea as Borgnæs gives you access to the finest beaches on Ærø. For one thing, Borgnæs Strand is known to be a particularly child-friendly beach with its fine sand and clear, shallow water. Around Borgnæs, you will find a number of small villages with old Ærø-style houses and historic sites that bear witness to the history of Ærø.

Hals

Hals is known as the smallest market town in Northern Jutland; despite its small size, however, the town oozes of charm and Danish holiday bliss. In this charming holiday area, you will have the opportunity to play and relax at the water’s edge and to explore the local town life. Near the harbour area, you will find small streets lined with the characteristic red fishermen’s cottages. Back in the day, they were home to the local fishermen and their families. Today, the cottages ooze of new life as they are used for shops, galleries and cafés. Strolling along these streets, you will get a glimpse into the fishing history of Northern Jutland as well as into the contemporary modern town life.

You can hike or cycle through lush forests and open landscapes, while exploring local cultural and historical sights. There are several old churches and well-preserved manor houses in the area, reflecting the rich history of the region. In Kindvig, you will find farm shops, artisan shops and galleries, giving you ample opportunity to delve into local specialties.
