Agger is a holiday paradise for those loving nature and the active holiday. The area provides you with ample op­portu­ni­ties to go hiking, jump on your bicycle or enjoy some time birdwat­ching. And you can study the bird life from the peninsula of Agger Tange. Agger Tange is also your place if you have a need for speed on water. South of Aarhus you will find the holiday home area, Mariendal Strand. Near the area is the beach, which is sur­ro­un­ded by natural sur­ro­un­dings and has a cosy fire pit. Here you can enjoy views of Aarhus Bay while roasting mars­h­mal­lows over an open fire with your feet planted in the fine sand. If you like biking, you can cycle towards Aarhus to the forests of Moesgaard and Mar­se­lis­borg, which stretch all the way down to the coast. And when visiting this area, you might want to visit the Moesgaard Museum, which has several exhi­bi­tions of ar­cha­e­o­lo­gi­cal finds, including the Grauballe Man, who - probably - is the world’s most well-preserved bog body.

You can also sail or row in the fjord or find a peaceful spot for a picnic lunch. Here you can ex­pe­ri­en­ce wild and lush nature, pi­c­tu­resque landsca­pes and specta­cu­lar views. Kikhavn offers an idyllic Danish village at­mosp­he­re, and with its thatched half-timbered houses and fisherman’s huts, it is the perfect setting for a holiday home break. Here, the coast rises dra­ma­ti­cal­ly above the water level. On the outer tip is Spod­s­b­jerg Ligh­t­hou­se, and just below is Knud Rasmussen’s house, which is now a museum. The alluring area and nature continue to attract artists and creative souls.
