Bønnerup Strand is a small fishing village on Djursland and a popular holiday desti­na­tion. Here you will find a wide sandy beach with shallow waters - ideal for water sports for the ad­ven­tu­rous, and clamshell hunting for the young ones. Among the locals, the beach is actually known as Djursland’s best, and of course it is also Blue Flag-certified. In the sum­mer­ti­me, the town’s harbour is a well-known gathering place for locals and the area’s many ho­li­day­ma­kers, and there are acti­vi­ties for both young and old. At the harbour you will also find local shops and eateries.

Spend your holiday home break in the tranqui­li­ty of the forest under the forest canopy in Ulvshale Skov. This lush, dense area is untouched, with only the paths cleared for hiking. This means that nature and wildlife are wild and secluded, so you might get lucky and see rare birds and other animals, or ex­pe­ri­en­ce wild orchids and specta­cu­lar coastal en­viron­ments close by. A stone’s throw away is Ulvshale Strand, one of Møn’s best beaches. The cosy little island of Nyord is just off the coast and is de­fi­ni­te­ly worth a visit, while Møns Klint is not far.

Take long walks in the open landscape around Ring­kø­bing Fjord, visit the cosy old harbour, taste local spe­ci­a­li­ties and enjoy the rich wildlife. Stauning is a paradise for bird lovers and anyone who enjoys pristine nature and its fa­sci­nat­ing residents. You can also hop in the fjord or go surfing or sailing – or enjoy a quiet moment building sand castles by the water. Af­terwards, you can sit in the harbour and enjoy a variety of re­fres­h­ments to the sound of bells atop the boat masts.
